Plenitude is the successor to Eni’s Gas e Luce business. Its historical connections and reputation for innovation remain unchanged. A subsidiary of Eni, the Gas e Luce business was founded as a retail company for gas, electricity and energy solutions.
We launched E-Start services on the market offering EV Charging facilities. The acquisition of Sea S.p.A then marked our first step into offering energy retrofitting for buildings.
January
We entered the Spanish and Portuguese markets through the acquisition of Aldro.
July - November
With the new by-laws, Eni Gas e Luce became a Società Benefit. The company was then integrated with Eni renewables, expanding our services to our customers and our renewable energy offering. The acquisition of Be Power S.p.A then expanded our EV charging offering in Italy and Europe.
March
Eni Gas e Luce was officially rebranded to Plenitude, following an announcement first made to the market in November 2021.
December
We acquire 100% ownership of PLT, with the production of electric power from renewable sources and the supply of energy to retail customers.

Our commitment to the energy transition is strengthened by the entrance of Energy Infrastructure Partners ('EIP'), a fund specialising in Renewables and Energy Transition, bringing fresh financial resources and business opportunities.
