INTRODUCTION
This month we’re heading to the far south of France, where land meets the Mediterranean in one of Europe’s most scenic and magical coastal routes. From the glamour of Monaco to the elegance of Antibes, from cinematic Cannes to iconic Saint-Tropez, every stop reveals a new wonder — a blend of colours, landscapes, and stories.
Art and culture, luxury and charm define this part of the world. Actors and painters, writers and philosophers, visionaries and thinkers have dreamed, created and loved here. As mountains meet the sea, a series of spectacular contrasts unfolds: sheer cliffs and sandy beaches, historic towns and luxurious resorts, deep greens and vibrant blues — a palette only nature could paint.
DAY 1 – MONTE CARLO TO ANTIBES
The best way to start a day in the Principality of Monaco? With your eyes fixed on the deep blue of the Mediterranean. In Monte Carlo, futuristic high-rises blend with serene gardens, each one offering a green escape in the midst of the city’s cosmopolitan buzz.
After charging your EV at the station on Boulevard des Moneghetti 9 in Beausoleil, the best way to begin is to dive into the heart of Monaco. Here, glamorous Monte Carlo invites you in with luxury boutiques, iconic hotels, palm-lined boulevards and the world-famous casino. Not far away, the historic heart of Monaco offers romantic sea views, galleries, souvenir shops and local restaurants full of charm.
In the afternoon, visit the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, founded by Prince Albert I and inaugurated in 1910. The museum is dedicated to marine education, featuring collections curated by the prince himself, as well as aquariums, exhibitions and immersive displays. A must-see for ocean lovers and a symbol of Monaco’s long-standing link with the sea.
Afterward, enjoy a stroll through Monaco’s narrow streets, stopping by the Prince’s Palace and the Cathedral.
With the battery charged and the Principality explored, the next destination is Antibes — another gem on the French Riviera. Take the scenic coastal road for unforgettable views as you pass fishing harbours, rugged cliffs and the bustling streets of Nice. When you arrive in Antibes, the city is bathed in golden light.
DAY 2 – ANTIBES TO CANNES
Start the morning in Antibes, home to Europe’s largest marina. Spend time exploring the Old Town, starting with the vibrant Marché Provençal. This iconic covered market is a feast for the senses, overflowing with colours and aromas — from cheese and spices to lavender, olives, fruit, vegetables and fresh flowers. From here, wander through the town’s cobblestone alleys and discover hidden piazzas, local cafés, restaurants and brasseries.
Don’t miss the Picasso Museum, located in the historic Château Grimaldi where the artist once lived and worked. The museum hosts a remarkable collection of his works and offers a unique insight into his creative period in Antibes.
After a sea-view stroll through town, it’s time to hit the road again — next stop: Cannes. Internationally renowned for its Film Festival every May, Cannes transforms into a stage for stars, journalists, photographers and movie lovers from all over the world. Even outside festival season, its lively atmosphere and chic character make it one of the most exclusive spots in France.
By sunset, the city glows with a special kind of magic.
DAY 3 – CANNES TO SAINT-TROPEZ
Start your day exploring Cannes, and make your way to the legendary Croisette — the glamorous seaside boulevard lined with pine trees, palm trees, luxury boutiques, sandy beaches and grand hotels. For a complete change of pace, head to Le Suquet, the city’s medieval quarter. With its narrow, winding streets and authentic character, it offers a glimpse into old Cannes. Hike up to Mont Chevalier, where a 22-metre medieval tower stands tall above the city, offering panoramic views.
After lunch, say goodbye to Cannes and drive to the final — and perhaps most iconic — destination on our Riviera road trip: Saint-Tropez. Once a sleepy fishing village, today it’s a symbol of coastal sophistication and artistic heritage. Actors, artists and intellectuals have long been drawn to its allure.
The drive takes about an hour and a half, weaving through the lively roads of the Côte d’Azur before arriving in this pastel-hued town by the sea. If your EV needs a top-up, you’ll find a charging station on Chemin Saint Bonaventure, not far from the Citadel. Then, on foot, head toward La Ponche — the historic heart of Saint-Tropez. Here, tangled alleys, cobbled streets, quaint cafés, fine restaurants, local boutiques and artisan shops create a postcard-perfect setting
There’s no better place to end a Riviera road trip than the enchanting port of Saint-Tropez. As the sun sets, the water glows golden and the Mediterranean seems to stretch endlessly. It’s a view that leaves you still, suspended between sea and sky — a timeless ending to an unforgettable electric journey.
