The Immersive exploration of Plenitude's metaverse lands at Palazzo Litta.
Ideas never stand still, they migrate, transform and seek space to manifest. This is how Futura, Plenitude's metaverse, is set to take center stage at Fuorisalone 2025, participating in the MoscaPartners Variations exhibition with an installation hosted in the prestigious setting of Palazzo Litta from April 7 to 13.
This initiative marks a significant evolution for Futura, Plenitude’s virtual planet made up of five digital continents, each hosted on a different metaverse platform.
Every Futura continent is constantly evolving, and Plenitude invites visitors to reflect on energy through a design inspired by discovery and migration, aligning with the exhibition's theme Migrations.
The installation at Palazzo Litta will offer an exclusive preview of Futura Quest, the new immersive continent built on the Rec Room platform. This will complement the existing continents on Spatial (Futura HUB), Roblox (Futura Ville), and Fortnite (Futura Tracks), offering users a fully immersive flying experience with XR headsets.
The installation is part of Fuorisalone, which this year explores the theme of "Connected Worlds".
Room No.10 at Palazzo Litta: where baroque meets the metaverse
The Baroque heart of Palazzo Litta is about to meet the metaverse. Room No.10 will host an unprecedented fusion, where the solemnity of its architecture engages in dialogue with the avant-garde of Plenitude’s Futura metaverse. This encounter will reflect on design as an act of cultural migration, demonstrating how ideas shape new spaces, both physical and digital.
Just like Futura by Plenitude, a virtual planet that grows through the contributions of a global community, bringing together knowledge, visions, stories, and a desire for change. Each of its continents is an ever-evolving territory, a place where the energy transition becomes an experience and a game, and where interaction strengthens a sense of belonging.
The installation at Palazzo Litta will offer visitors a dual level of exploration: a playful and immersive experience, with five retro futuristic arcade stations seamlessly integrated into the Futura world. And a deeper dive into the creative process behind its development, showcased through sketches, models, and studies to reveal how building a virtual world is a true design practice, intertwining aesthetics, functionality, and storytelling.
Palazzo Litta and Fuorisalone: a dialogue between history and innovation
The 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile is set to be a global event, with over 2,100 exhibitors from 37 countries gathering in Milan from April 8 to 13. Spanning 169,000 sqm of exhibition space, it will attract visitors from more than 150 nations. Fuorisalone, under the theme "Connected Worlds," provides the ideal setting for Futura by Plenitude’s installation.
This project is more than just a showcase. The debut of Futura Quest and the reveal of its creative process demonstrate how the metaverse serves as a laboratory for experimentation and connection, a dynamic ecosystem where ideas take shape, offering a glimpse into the digital present and future. Moreover, it encourages the transfer of skills acquired in the metaverse into the real world.
